SARATOGA SPRINGS >> One local small business owner celebrated her birthday over the weekend in a unique and charitable way, in the spirit of the season.
Blake Lowe, owner of Fresh & Co. Salon and Spa on Lake Avenue in downtown Saratoga Springs, had a birthday party with her friends and family on Sunday at another local Spa City business, Serendipity Arts Studio located in the Congress Plaza.
She and her loved ones participated in a cooking class, making traditional turkey dinners under the leadership of owner Patrice Mastrianni.
But what made the birthday party truly special was that the hearty meals they cooked were meant to be enjoyed by those in need for the holidays.
SARATOGA SPRINGS >> Local art and cooking enthusiasts have a new hangout in the Spa City with the opening of new business Serendipity Arts Studio.
Located at 26D Congress St. in Congress Plaza, the studio offers regular culinary and art programs for children, teens and adults, taught by artists and chefs from around the region, as well as members from the local business community.
“Serendipity Arts is a crossroads of creativity,” said owner Patrice Mastrianni in a news release. “Local artists and chefs can share their talents with residents and visitors of Saratoga in a relaxed and beautiful creative space.”
